1. Arrive Delhi |

Arrive
Delhi. You are welcomed at the airport and transferred to
the hotel.

2. Delhi / Agra |
|
Breakfast
at hotel. Combined sightseeing of New Delhi and Old Delhi.
Lunch at local restaurant. Overnight and dinner at hotel.

3. Delhi / Agra |
|
At
6 AM, we board the fast and comfortable tourist train (air-conditioned
chair car) to Agra where we would reach at about eight in
the morning. A tour of Fatehpur Sikri, the Agra Fort and
the Taj Mahal takes up the entire day. There is time for
lunch at the hotel in between. Overnight at hotel.

4. Agra / Sariska |
|
After
breakfast, we drive 5 hours through uncrowded roads to the
Sariska sanctuary. Sariska was the private hunting reserve
of the Maharaja of Alwar. The Sariska Palace is replete
with antique furniture and old hunting pictures and was
built to entertain visiting British royalty in the early
1900's. Spread over the Aravali hills, several species of
deer, wild boar etc. maybe seenin the sanctuary. There is
always a chance for the tiger. Open jeeps will allow a good
view while driving within the park. Overnight at the hotel
/ Sariska Palace.

5. Sariska/Samode |
|
The
morning jungle drive will include a visit to Kankwari Fort
situated deepwithin the sanctuary. Later after a picnic
breakfast we return to the Sariska Place and then drive
a couple of hours to Samode where the sumptuousness of the
Samode Place will surprise one. Overnight at the Samode
Place.

6. Samode/Jaipur |
|
After
breakfast, drive two hours to Jaipur, visiting enroute the
Amber Fort, Elephant will take one up the hill, atop which
sits the fort and the palace. Following the tour, check
into the Rambagh Palace at Jaipur, a city that is appropriately
known as the 'Pink City'. In the afternoon, a tour trough
the City Palace and the 18th century observatory with its
outsized astronomical instruments will fascinate one. Jaipur
was built in 1727 as a planned city by Maharaja Jai Singh
.Overnight at hotel.

7. Jaipur / Pushkar |
|
Drive
to Pushkar. Arrive Pushkar and check into hotel for overnight
stay.

| DAY
8. Pushkar |
|
There
is adequate time to laze in the sun at hotel. Walk through
the ghats and lanes. Overnight at hotel.

| Day
9. Pushkar / Jodhpur |
|
A
five hours drive in the afternoon brings one to Jodhpur
town. It was the erstwhile capital of the princely state
of Jodhpur. Imposing palaces and forts will amaze one here.
One checks into the hotel for overnight stay.

10. Jodhpur |
|
After
Breakfast, a drive through the surrounding villages of Jodhpur
on Jeeps. One returns to hotel in time for lunch. After
lunch, there is some time to rest. Mid afternoon, one will
drive over to the Umaid Bhawan Palace hotel where the afternoon
is best spent on its magnificent terrace. Overnight at hotel.

11. Jodhpur / Jaisalmer |
|
After
Breakfast, one is ripe for a tour of the Meherangarh Fort
built in 1459.
A guide will show us through. Returning to the hotel in
a couple of hours, we prepare for the drive to Jaiselmer
that will take 7 hours. At Jaiselmer, we shall check into
the hotel for overnight stay.

After
breakfast, we drive to the main gateway of the fort and
then walk
up to its top. Overnight at hotel.

| Day
13. Jaisalmer / Camel Safari |
|
Following
an early breakfast, we drive five hours to the roadhead
for the camel Safari. Enroute, we stop for snacks. Interesting
rural scenes will fascinate one. In the pleasantly warm
and striking light of the afternoon, we reach the roadhead.
Overnight in tents.

Another
day in the desert, when we visit isolated homesteads in
the desert. Overnight camp.

16. Safari / Mandawa |
|
After
breakfast, an hour's ride will bring us to the roadhead.
Our waiting car will take us to Mandawa situated six hours
away. Overnight at the Mandawa Castle.

17. Mandawa / Neemrana |
|
After
breakfast, we have a short walking tour of the havellis
( mansions) that tare painted with beautiful frescoes. We
then drive four hours around mid morning to a superb isolated
fortress palace situated atop the Aravalli mountain range
Neemrana. Overnight at the Neemrana Fort Palace.

18. Neemrana |
|
The
day is free to rest at this superb palace. A short walk
can be made to the 9 story deep step well with galleries
around it. The food at Neemrana is excellent too.

| Day
19. Neemrana / Delhi / Home |
| Two
hours driving from Neemrana will bring one to Delhi. A short
tour of Delhi. Dinner at local restaurant and later transfer
to the airport for the flight home depending on the onward
journey. |
